Partners from Universities and Industries

GRAZ UNIVERSITY
OF TECHNOLOGY

Since 2002, we have established a close R&D partnership with the Institute for Technical Informatics (ITI) from Graz University of Technology. Cooperation areas include HW/SW codesign, system simulation and design of embedded systems. Furthermore, we are working together in joint long term R&D projects. PhD thesis and diploma works in the area of common interest and supported by CISC complete this very fruitful and open-minded cooperation.

CARINTHIA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

CISC is cooperating with the Carinthia University of Applied Sciences in the area of Network and Communication Engineering and Communication Engineering. The main focus of the work in the department of Information Technology covers contact and contactless network technology. Additionally, there is mutual interest to expand the cooperation with practical semesters and to support diploma thesis in the field of our common interest.

KLAGENFURT UNIVERSITY

The Department of Information Technology (ITEC) at the Klagenfurt University covers computer and communication technology related areas in the Informatics Departments of the Klagenfurt University. CISC is cooperating in knowledge sharing and supporting diploma thesis.

The Mobile Systems Group at the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt works on networking aspects of future mobile and wireless systems. This includes the design of algorithms and protocols, contributions to networking theory, and modeling and simulation issues. The focus of current research is on networked systems of embedded, pervasive computers and 4G networks. Our teaching activities include graduate courses on mobile and wireless communications and networks, as well as undergraduate courses on the physical basics of information technology. Established in 2005, the group is lead by Prof. Christian Bettstetter.

INDUSTRY

CISC Semiconductor has established corporations with partners coming also from Industry. These partners give us additional value mainly in the area of design methodology and tools where we offer complementary tools as an add on to tools coming from our partners.
